Indiana Battle of the Books

What is Indiana Battle of the Books?

Books for a Better World is hosting its second annual Indiana Battle of the Books competition for the Evansville Area April 5th & 6th 2018. Indiana Battle of the Books is an academic extracurricular reading activity for 4th and 5th grade students who enjoy reading challenges and competition. Its purpose is to foster the enjoyment of reading high quality books and to come together in friendly competition. There are a series of battles in which two teams face each other at a time to answer questions about the books. Teams earn points cumulatively in each battle, and 1st place & 2nd place are decided from this. Then, they face each other for a bonus Readers Celebration Round in our Readers Celebration, where families & friends can experience the excitement of a battle. With a collaborative partnership between EVSC, Evansville Public Libraries, and other community leaders, we look forward to an exciting second year.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Perkett, Chair

Lola Perkett, Co-Chair
